GET TO KNOW GABRIEL
Veteran. Entrepreneur. Leader.
Gabriel graduated from Western New Mexico University with a degree in business and public administration. When he was just 17, he joined the New Mexico Army National Guard which sparked his love for service. Years later, after working the mines in Hurley, he started his first business venture, Hurricane Car Wash. He also owned a business in Silver City which specialized in satellite, internet, and home security. Among these accomplishments, he has held the title of Board Member, Vice President, and Coach of the Copper Little League. Southwest New Mexico is also where he met his wife, Patsy, and raised their two children Erika and James.

Gabriel's talent for solving problems led to his successful election to Grant County Clerk at age 25. He was subsequently elected to Town Council where he completed essential infrastructure projects, and to the Cobre School Board where he worked to reverse a $600,000 budget deficit. He then served on the Grant County Board of Commissioners for eight years and, in 2019, was appointed to the New Mexico State Senate to represent this very district.
He has never stopped working to protect our natural resources and parks, to support our workers in our most profitable industries like farming, ranching, mining, and lumber, and to stand up for our rights and put families first.
"Everything about this district has an important place in my story, and I decided to use that experience and passion for this region to serve others."

MY VALUES HAVE NOT CHANGED
What has changed is the radicalized agenda of progressive politicians in Santa Fe. They chose politics over helping New Mexicans. They left common sense behind, and they left us behind. I left the Democrat Party in 2022. Now I’m running to represent you again, and I’m just as strong and ready to fight for you as I have ever been.
